Jessica Armold
Jessica Armold (she/her) is the Regional Director for Southeast Ohio, which is primarily focused on service to SOPEC member communities in Southeast Ohio by contributing to the growth and development of sustainability and the advancement of the renewable energy economy through SOPEC's mission to provide reliable, valuable, and simple public energy programs that help communities achieve their local sustainable energy goals. She has earned a BS in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology from The Ohio State University and is currently on track to graduate with an MS in Sustainability, Security, and Resilience at Ohio University in May 2025. After decades of working in and around Appalachian Ohio, she became deeply interested in the unique challenges and assets of the area. Serving the public through municipal water utility compliance allowed her to identify problems where sustainable solutions were needed and she endeavored to change lanes in her career in public service to better serve these communities by helping them to pursue sustainable solutions through renewable energy. In her free time, she loves to see concerts, live bands, live comedians, and cheer on her favorite professional and college sports teams.
